3 cups sugar
3/4 cup butter
2/3 cup heavy cream
7 ounces marshmallow cream
11 ounces white chocolate chips
3 teaspoons orange extract
10 drops orange food coloring (adjust for desired shade)
Instructions:
Preparation: Begin by lightly greasing a 9 x 13-inch glass dish.
Combine and Heat: In a medium-sized saucepan, melt together sugar, butter, and heavy cream over medium heat. Continue to heat until the mixture reaches the softball stage, approximately 235°F, ensuring you’re stirring continuously to prevent scorching.
ncorporate Cream & Chocolate: Once you’ve reached the desired temperature, remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the marshmallow cream and white chocolate chips until they melt seamlessly into the mixture.
Prepare for Swirling: Set aside 1 cup of this smooth mixture. This will later form the white swirls.
Add the Orange Flair: To the saucepan, introduce the orange extract and food coloring. Mix until the color and flavor are consistently spread.
Layer and Swirl: Pour the orange mixture into your greased dish. Over this, drizzle the cup of reserved white mixture. Using a knife or skewer, create swirls to give that marbled effect.
Set and Serve: Transfer the dish to the refrigerator and allow the fudge to set firmly, which should take about 2 hours. Once set, cut the fudge into squares.
Storage: This fudge can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator and will remain fresh for several weeks.
Enjoy the creamy, citrusy goodness of this unique fudge – a treat that will surely delight your taste buds!
